Morning all
Another wet day, but not snow.
Had a lovely weekend with visits from all our, admittedly small, family at some stage. Also had a couple of nice strolls and lots of just doing nothing. Exactly how a weekend should be - even though we're retired so weekends don't really count!
Bella, sounds like a good plan for the dress. I had almost £800 outstanding on the credit card until I sent all but one back!
Ouch dumpling. Please get those legs sorted asap. It sounds dreadful.
Nelski - your meal sounds lovely. Just scrunch up the filo
artistically. It'll be fine!
Roblou - I'm back to yoga today too. Have missed two weeks so will be a bit creaky!
Happy Monday all, even if wet - again!15 -
Morning all
Raining here yet againit seems to have been raining for weeks, I am taking my car for its first ever MOT today so I hope it passes without any cost, I could do without the extra expense. Will go to sainsburys and have a coffee while I wait, I need a few bits too so will pick them up.
DD and Pup are still in bed pup had been poorly for a couple of days, she has been sick several times so dd is taking her to the vet today, hopefully its just a little bug.
Dinner tonight is the rest of the roast pork from yesterday so no effort there, I want to have a quick tidy through and sort out the weekends clutter.
This afternoon will be sofa and netflix and probs a snooze too.
We had a walk up to the pub with the dogs yesterday the last couple of times we have been there have been two or three really noisy blokes holding court standing at the bar you cant even hold a conversation as they are so loud, usually its a lovely pub with a load of regulars on a sunday and we have made some nice friends, the regulars have not been in for a while now so we think these blokes have put them off, we will give it another go and if they are there we wont bother for a while.
Dumpling I hope they can help your legs xx
Nels you are doing so well keep it up !! xx
Scarlett have a very Happy Birthday xx
Have good days all xx

Happy birthday Scarlet.
TA, it sounds as if it was good news about Sparkle but I'll have to read back because I never have time to look at t'internet when I'm at Laura's - too busy baby wrangling. He is a joy though and we had lots of time with him while Laura and Brian were out, although we managed to stick to his bedtime pretty well.
I found some old photos of Laura and he really is very like her as a baby, apart from his chin - he has inherited Brian's cleft chin.
We're off to Yorkshire for a couple of nights so I hope the snow has gone by the time we get up there TA. We have a joiner going in to replace some doors and will pick up the camprvan from the dealers on the way back on Wednesday.15 -

Good morning folks.None of the promised snow here yet though there's still time. DM wants to declutter the bathroom cupboard😱😱 there's many years of unused / half used toiletries lurking on four shelves. I can see at least nine bars of that olive oil soap with the awful pee-like smell. A now deceased friend gave them as presents at Christmas. I hope they can go - not sure if a CS will take them.🎂 Happy Birthday SCARLET - hope you have cake and fizz.Good on you NELSKI.Now I wish everyone a very happy Monday. I need to rewatch Dr Who as I skipped bits last night.13

Popping back to wish SCARLETT R a very happy birthday. Have a good one whatever you get up to.
The snow has now turned to light rain but it's not making much of an impression on the lying snow yet. we need the heavy rain! Where is it when you need it?! SNOOZER the forecast is for everything but the kitchen sink getting chucked at us this week so I hope you dodge the worst of it. Carol had a beautiful photo of a snow covered Leyburn in the background this morning. It looked so picturesque. Wishing you a safe drive up. NELSKI that meal sounds delicious.
I am doing too much messing about this morning and need to get myself out of sloth mode. Take care all xx

Morning all. It's persisting it down here and the wind is howling, seems like it's the weather we should have had yesterday !We were up super early for a trip to the hospital ( bloods ) because if you get there after 9am there is a queue a mile long. It's a take a number and first come, first served arrangement. Got soaked walking to and again, from the hospital. Why is it the empty car park spaces are always such a long way from the front door, no matter what time of day you get there ? Or is it just all our hospitals ?Anyway back home and a coffee in hand, I am planning our day. I have put the fleece blankets in the WM and I need to wipe down the kitchen next. I ( and Mr Fix It, shh ! he doesn't know yet
) want to carry on the decluttering today and sort out the caravanning alcove. I took my sleeping bag out when I was camping with DGD and caused an avalanche of stuff to tumble down. Oooops ! I hope the rain eases off later as the bins/recycling need to go out tonight, or I'll get soaked again
Scarlet Happy birthday ! I hope you have a lovely dayDumpling I hope you can get some help for your leg and I'm with you on the portion sizes as mine have increased lately too.TA I'll swap you our rain and wind for your snow ! I'm getting really fed up with getting soaked. There's something soothing about snow, for me anyway, even if I have to go out in it.taff I hope your rellies are ok. BTW are you sure you're not me ? We seem to have sooooo much in common. Now what's that saying "Great minds think alike but fools seldom differ ". Now I wonder which camp we're in ?Righty ho I'd better go and do something I suppose, " Carpe Diem " and all that.Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
