If anyone goes to branch, please could you see if you can get a spare application form and then scan it, screenshot it, and paste it here? I'm wondering if perhaps if we posted the forms to head office in the prepaid envelopes if they may open it. If not, no harm really. Monmouthshire was generous permitting it, so it feels worth a try.

KR relaxed their "branch only" rule during the pandemic and allowed postal applications, but when I phoned them a couple of months ago they made it clear that "branch only" was the rule again now.

Hi Everybody,

I have updated page 1 of this thread.

- Darlington BS Regular Monthly Saver interest rate increased to 4.5% gross p.a. variable 

- Hinckley and Rugby BS Regular Saver 30 Day Notice Account interest rate increased to 5% gross p.a. variable from 21st July 2023

- Leek BS Regular Saver interest rate increased to 5% gross p.a. variable from 1st August 2023

- Bath BS 16-25 Regular Saver interest rate increased to 7.29% gross p.a. variable from 1st August 2023

- Bath BS Homestart Regular Saver interest rate increased to 4.69% gross p.a. variable from 1st August 2023

- Stafford Railway BS Regular Saver (Issue 1) interest rate increased to 4.9% from 1st August 2023

- Kent Reliance Regular Savings Account (Issue 11) added to the list on page 1 paying 5% gross p.a. variable on up to £500 per month but can be opened in branch only

I have edited the first post in order to increase the interest rate thresholds. It now has this:

"I am only adding accounts where the interest rate is 5% or better, or 4.5% if the account has favourable conditions (e.g. you can pay in £500 per month or more, or if the account matures after at least 2 years) and any accounts already on the list that do not increase their rates to meet these criteria by early August will then be removed."

I will do the next update in early August.

YBS have launched a 6% Loyalty bond fixed till 31 August 2024 which could be useful for those with maturing YBS loyalty regular savers, https://www.ybs.co.uk/savings/product?id=YB271734W   If you go for this account make a note that you need to move money within a month of the bond's maturity otherwise there is an interest rate penalty for withdrawing money.

Please note this thread is intended only for Regular Saver accounts.  Not for what to do with the proceeds of a maturing RS.

If you want to keep this thread strictly to identifying the best available regular savers, which is what it started out as many years ago, you are a few thousand posts too late. It has evolved in a different direction.If you look back a few pages you'll see that the question of what to do with funds from maturing YBS loyalty regular savers has already been raised and discussed. That must have escaped your censorious eye.

@APT If you think we need a thread for what to do with maturing funds, might I suggest you start one, and leave this useful thread for it's proper purpose.

I'm now limiting my contributions to 5%ers to whatever minimum they allow. It is very likely that after 3rd August they will be uncompetitive.

I am merely highlighting this for those who might already hold it. The Market Harborough Regular Saver rising from 3.2% up to 3.6%.
