The CHORLEY Members RS (Issue 2) maturing on 30.6.20 is being replaced by a similar RS with a VR at 1.85%, which I think is good news. It's available on 1.7.20. Had their letter this morning - in good time7

I notice that Lloyds saver account RS and ordinary are wrong as they are now 2.0% and 1.5%.0

Lloyds, BoS and Halifax regular savers are all down by 0.5 percentage points for new accounts. I'm sure SS2 will update the list at the weekend to reflect these changes :-)unwina said:I notice that Lloyds saver account RS and ordinary are wrong as they are now 2.0% and 1.5%.

Scottish Building Society is now accepting new applications for the RS product that it had pulled a few weeks ago. At 1.35% variable (up to £500 pm max for 12 months) it's clearly nothing special. But when my existing RSA with them expires soon, I'm minded to renew if only to keep my BS membership current at no cost. Likewise for the similar Leek BS RS product (also 1.35% variable but up to £1,000 pm).1

Yeah I missed the boat by a couple of days on the higher amounts but the wife just got in on the higher Hfx the day before it changed!Fingerbobs said:

£1 in an instant access account is usually enough to keep your membership going. It certainly is for Scottish BS. I closed my RS with them on the day the interest dropped to 1.35%.JamesRobinson48 said:Scottish Building Society is now accepting new applications for the RS product that it had pulled a few weeks ago. Would be useful to have an updated list now - of accounts and rates - particularly for the fixed rate ones and smaller local societies.
The thought of bothering with 1.3% for a regular saver six months ago seemed ridiculous - now its market leading!0 -
1.3%, or 1.35%, isn't quite market leading for regular savers. I can think of at least a dozen still taking applications for 1.5% and upwards - FD, M&S, HSBC, Club Lloyds, KRBS, Coventry, Cumberland, BoS, Halifax, Lloyds, Principality, Virgin. But yes, almost all of those rates are rates we'd barely have considered just a few months ago.margaretx9 said:The thought of bothering with 1.3% for a regular saver six months ago seemed ridiculous - now its market leading!0
