There is a list of EA accounts here:pookey said:I'm trying to get my savings in order. Is there a list of easy access accounts that have a decent interest rate that are good for drip feeding please? Or is there another forum that disccuses this please?

The Moneyfacts site is probably the best comparison site. Make sure to click on rate order as the default misses out ones that don’t have an online link to Moneyfacts.pookey said:I'm trying to get my savings in order. though I do find it annoying that their RS listings don't mention (unless it's included in the account name) whether a rate is fixed or variable.RG2015 said:

Hi Folks,
I have updated page 1 of this thread.
- Kroo Current Account (feeder account section) interest rate increased to 4.10% AER (4.03% gross) variable on up to £85,000 from 1st July 2023
- Nationwide FlexDirect Account (feeder account section) updated to show it is paying 5% fixed for 12 months (unchanged) on £1,500 (and then 1% interest, increased from 0.25%) from 1st July 2023.
- Chase Saver Account (feeder account section) updated to show that the planned increase to 3.3% AER (3.25% gross) variable went ahead on 22nd May 2023
- West Brom Children's Fixed Rate Regular Saver (Issue 6) added to page 1 paying 5.5% gross p.a. fixed on up to £100 per month for 12 months, no withdrawals or early closure allowed, aged 15 and under, can only be opened in branch
- West Brom BS Adult's Fixed Rate Regular Saver (Issue 6) added to page 1 paying 5% gross p.a. fixed on up to £250 per month for 12 months, no withdrawals or early closure allowed, aged 16 and over, can only be opened in branch
I have noted that the Earl Shilton BS regular saver has increased its interest rate to 4.10% from 1st July however I am not going to spend time adding it back on to page 1 as it will get removed again when I change the threshold for inclusion on page 1 in July following the latest base rate increase. The same applies to the Suffolk BS 1 Year Regular Saver (31.08.24) paying 4.15%.I will do the next update the weekend after next.

For those who don't know, First Direct are actually a division of HSBC UK so their results are incorporated within the rest of their ringfenced UK operation.IanManc said:First Direct has 1.26 million customers, and Skipton has 1.14 million customers. Skipton has £33.36billion assets under management, but First Direct don't even publish their AUM figure, so you don't know what it is.0 -
@Special_Saver2 the Chase Savings Account is going up to 3.8% from 3 July.Special_Saver2 said:Hi Folks,

I cannot see Principality Issue 33 on the first page paying 5.5 fixed https://www.principality.co.uk/savings-accounts/fixed-term-savings-and-bonds/1-year-regular-saver-bond or maybe it is there....

The correct link is on there but the old issue 32 at 4.5% is still showing.londoner62 said:I cannot see Principality Issue 33 on the first page paying 5.5 fixed https://www.principality.co.uk/savings-accounts/fixed-term-savings-and-bonds/1-year-regular-saver-bond or maybe it is there....2 -
Update on Natwest Round ups: Don't. Some people have got away with it but it is a gamble. I got the 'we are ending our banking relationship' letter just like the infamous LBG letter. I was only doing like 5 created round ups per week. I knew if I did too many they could do something but I am really surprised just how few they considered too many. I was also using it for legitimate spending as much if not more than created round ups. Maybe they saw the £2.25 payment to Eon and thought something is clearly wrong here.9
