I already have a FD RS so the rate will be increased on 1st Dec. Anyone thinking of opening one may as well do so straight away at the existing 3.5% as it will automatically be increased in 2 days. Suspect demand will be very high.1

I got the confirmation of rate Increase to 7% from firsta Direct via text today.1

HSBC have already announced they are raising from 1% to 5% from 1st December including for existing customers.1

Answer: When First Direct double it and HSBC quintuple it!
