You can pay the whole of the last maturing RS in on the first payment of the new? I could never get it to work.karlie88 said:Transferred over £2650
from santander monthly saver that was earning 2.5% (must have missed the newer 2.75% acc) to their new easy access account.

It's certainly disappeared from on sale (they did say it would be for a limited time) so hopefully a new RS will be launched in its place with competitive interest rate.liamcov said:Re Nationwide Flex Regular Saver - I can't see this listed on their website, only at https://www.nationwide.co.uk/savings/help/terms/flex-regular-online-saver/ but this seems to be a different account - monthly pay in £250 whereas I think mine (at 3%) is £200.
Can anyone shed any light or have I just confused the details?2 -
Obviously. But her(?) tease is about how come she has more than 12 monthly payments earning in a Santander 12 month Reg Saver, max £2400.SFindlay said:

The new Santander eSaver easy access deposit account at 2.75% has just made 90% of my existing regular savers redundant. It will also limit the traffic on this forum, at least for a while.5

I couldn't see a way to close the account on line, but you can "renew" the account to an everyday saver, and then transfer all the funds to your current account.0 -

Typically, regular savers have much higher rates than easy access. There will likely be less traffic for a couple of weeks, but hopefully regular saver accounts rates massively increase above the easy access again soonchris_the_bee said:The new Santander eSaver easy access deposit account at 2.75% has just made 90% of my existing regular savers redundant. Only the overly sensitive people around would find that a tease, it used to be that we could freely give tips about making a 13th payment on acxounts until these very same overly sensitive people objected to that too!! Now subtle hints seem to cause a problem to some!soulsaver said:

Soulsaver your earlier reply you refer to says "soulsaver said:

I couldn't see a way to close the account on line, but you can "renew" the account to an everyday saver, and then transfer all the funds to your current account.
You can close it on line under 'account services' - balance must be <£5 so w/d down to that first."
However Halifax Regular Saver does not allow withdrawals except upon closure so its not possible to withdraw down to a balance of less than £5 so its impossible to follow your advice.3 -
