I have just opened one of these. Have searched this thread and cannot find a post mentioning it before. Apologies if incorrect.

Rate: 1% variable on balances above £50
    Maximum Investment: £250 per month
    Deposits: per CALENDAR month
Maximum Operating Balance: £250 per month

So, open and deposit £50 or more in March, and your next payment can be made on 1st April, leading to 13 deposits and possible £3250 over the 12 month term.

Access to funds within 12 months is on account closure only.

    See link for further details.

Thanks everyone who posted with my request for help with opening the TSB Regular Saver. I haven't  used the PC for a couple of days as having a break from the screen. As suggested I did clear my cookies  (don't know why I didn't think of this myself) & was able to open the account this morning without any problem.

A good find. Even so £16.23 interest over a year ...

  • I know right.

And even that is a maximum bearing in mind rate is variable.

I opened it for a specific purpose and not so much for the interest.

October 2018. Virgin Money raised the "fixed" rate on several issues of their regular savers from 2.25% to 2.50%.

This, despite the fact that several of these issues were not open for new savers.

Mind, if rates do rise, they'll rise because of rising inflation - and the difference between the two may rise disproportionately.
Next figures from the ONS on the 24th - just one day after "tax day" ... :/

Furness 1 Year Regular Saver - i can confirm that  4 is the maximum. They require separate applications for each account and separate cheques, posted with the applications. At present they are accepting non certified photocopies of List1 documents and will return any originals documents sent. Naturally, don't send original passport, driving licence etc.
I asked them if an original HMRC "tax code notice" letter would be acceptable as a "List 1" item, and they said yes, as long as it shows my full NI number (which it does). So that, and a recent bank statement, would appear to satisfy their identification document requirements.
