Can you confirm whether or not you can now view all of your Dudley accounts, in particular their Branch / Postal based versions of Regular Savers if you have one??JamesRobinson48 said:Dudley BS has launched today a new RS.
Sorry, no great excitement here: its terms do not qualify for SS2's list - only 1.00% variable, max £250 pm, one year tenor.
But personally, I'm going for it because it's the Dudley's first ever online account: I believe I'll now be able to view my passbook account balances with them, and I'd like to encourage their online initiative.
EDIT: It took me only a few minutes to register for the new online service, apply for the RS, open the RS, and fund it by debit card.
I applied last night thanks to JR48.
It asks whether you're an existing saver.
If you are you're directed to register for online banking.
This takes five mins.
Then you can see you're existing branch accounts.
And then you can apply for the new account whilst logged in.2 -
Ideal thanks, worth opening just for that.veryintrigued said:

We have just opened a 2 new Dudley RS`s by post. I cannot see anything that prevents us opening 2 more online Dudley RS`s - they are listed as different accounts. I also see that maximum balance of the online RS is £3250 which means 13 payments of £250 would be allowed if you fund your first payment before the end of this month.

The postal version says can't hold another RS product with them so might be worth making sure postal ones are fully opened before applying for online version.where_are_we said:JamesRobinson48 said:Dudley BS has launched today a new RS.

Coventry BS 2.5% > 1.85% last year.P3 said:Has it ever happen that RS get interest rate reduce while already open????
The replacement 1.55% variable is still currently going though, as is the latest 1.30% variable0 -
Thanks for the tip re: online access for Dudley BS. Wasn't aware they'd gone down this route. As long as they already have a mobile number this is the easiest ever. Couple of minutes it took. This takes five mins.
Then you can see you're existing branch accounts.0 -
Exactly, even when the reduction of rate are still ahead of what is available now, shows it is advisable that people shouldn't just open fixed rate.wiseonesomeofthetime said:

Variable has its merit too....
Nevertheless, I understand where OP coming from, there has to be a stop point, else the list go on forever1 -
Agreed. This thread is entitled Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List, and there's a great deal of effort, particularly from @Special_Saver2 , going into maintaining it as the Best Currently Available.P3 said

If you want to have a complete list of all currently available Regular Savers, you could always use moneyfacts.co.uk9 -
Does moneyfacts .co.uk really show accounts that are no longer available?colsten said:

No, as you well know. It does however show ALL regular savings accounts that are currently available rather than THE BEST. I find the work of @Special_Saver2 on here extremely useful. Colsten’s post was intended to direct those that wanted more information to where they could find it.RG2015 said:
