The yorkshire building society 50 gbp 8% application is open wednesday, I couldn't see it online so popped into their branch. Technical difficulties apparently
Edit: Bridlington got told tomorrow (Tues), I'll try tomorrow then Wednesday 🤣

Dang, I switched out my HSBC Advance current account for a switching bonus a few months ago. I'd had the account for 8 years just for the associated RS but reckoned that the RS was likely to remain stuck in non-competitive territory
Bad move. I might try to open another but not feeling I want the hassle at the moment. Plenty more going on in RS land.0 -
Regarding Loughborough BS, I've had two of their RS's in the past. Once set up, I honestly can't say that I found the lack of internet access a problem. The problem was that they launched RS's with enticing rates, longer lasting than usual and high monthly maximum contribution levels but didn't maintain the rates even when base rate didn't change.

Can someone remind me how it works if set the date of £250 standing order from a Santander current account to HSBC current account as the same day the £250 standing order goes into the HSBC regular saver? If Santander process their standing orders after HSBC and thus funds not there when HSBC try and take then do HSBC automatically try again later in day a bit like banks do with direct debits? Thks0

so you would need to make sure the money is there the day before I think.
it is the customer who controls standing orders not the recipient of them like direct debits.2 -
Loughborough Retirement Saver
Do Loughborough BS send withdrawals electronically by faster payment or is it a cheque in the post (or you pay for CHAPS)?
