Looking at the info on the Small Saver page they send a maturity pack - is this postal or email? Glad I opened the EA last Summer now - requesting an internal transfer via the pack and onwards from there does sound like the better option.
Come to think of it I now recall having a similar withdrawals issue to you with one of their EA accounts a while back. I phoned them and they said they hadn't verified my nominated account for some reason and this was preventing me making withdrawals online. They apologised and did something quickly at their end and I was able to make withdrawals online a minute later. I'm wondering if this is what's happened in your case?0 -

You can also give them maturity instructions in app/website on what you want done when things mature.
Maturity is pretty new to the app, you can view the date it's going to mature (if you didn't know/forgot without going back through your documents), give them your maturity instructions, possibly other things.0 -
My FD regular saver has not close.
So got them to manually close it and transfer the cash and close the account.
Plus give me £1.12.
9 minute call to get it sorted.
Plus I get my £3650 5 days early.
I know I’m a pedantic 4rse.

Hi Everybody,
I have just updated the first page of this thread.
- Leeds BS Regular Saver (Issue 52) replaces issue 51, same details as before but this account matures on 6th May 2026
- Loughborough BS One Year Fixed Rate Monthly Saver (Issue 2) replaces issue 1, same details as before but this account pays 5.05% (as opposed to 5% with issue 1)
I will do the next update within the next 2 weeks.SS2

Hi Folks,
I have decided it is time to review the interest rate thresholds that I use for inclusion on this thread. I had been waiting for a month after the new tax year and it is now approximately a month later. I have decided to now include having a fixed interest rate as a favourable condition given interest rates are predicted to fall.
These are now the criteria in post 1 of this thread:
"I am only adding accounts where the interest rate is 5.5% or better, or 5% if the account has favourable conditions (e.g. you can pay in £500 per month or more, the interest rate is fixed, or if the account matures after at least 2 years)."
I have checked the interest rate on every account on page 1 and then removed accounts from the entries on page 1 that do not meet these criteria.
I will do the next update within the next 2 weeks.SS2

First Direct regular saver matured today. Funds in the saver account this morning. Opened a new regular saver, left £300 in first direct and transferred the rest out. Good job I did that earlier as now the app is unavailable and the website shows "the Lambda function associated with the CloudFront distribution was throttled!"0
