I agree AP's tend to resist all changes to what we regard as 'independence' however that's exactly what the rest of us regard as essential exess profits to suppliers that facilitates our ability to switch to a cheaper tariff.
The O/P and others are right to persist in switching.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Problem is, you'd need to either take over the energy account for them or have the same discussion every 11 months.
Unless you stick him on someone like Bulb with a variable tariff he'd be most likely be put straight pack onto the tariff cap after a year of a fixed deal.0
