Now Tv are giving away their sports package for £19.99/month for 6 months, then returns to £33/month.
Is this a good deal or are there other ways of watching sky sports for cheaper (and legal). I actually only want to watch the rugby league coverage so wanting to pay as little as possible, and this deal seems good compared to the full price, but you never know.

You won't get Sky Sports cheaper than £20 a month. It's something like £28 for Sky + Entertainment, about £50 a month since you can't have Sports on its own on Sky.

Go through cancellation process before it goes up to full price to get a better deal.1

Thanks everyone, I ended up finding a better deal that 19.99, through my broadband and tv provider, so it ended up being £17/month extra for the sport package.0

I signed up for a 3 month Sky Sports pass with NowTV at the end of February, there has been no communication from them in that time and it looks like they haven't been pausing anyone's passes. So I bought the pass, was not able to watch any live sport for the duration and now the price is due to go up to 33.99. I have now cancelled the pass and have let NowTV know my displeasure at them taking my money and me not getting anything for it. There are lots of people on the NowTV community forums all having the same issues, Sky have taken the money and people have not got anything for their money. Obviously this is not a pressing issue but at the same time it is very poor service.0

I managed to have a close shave with the F1 season pass on Now TV, was planning to buy the pass for £180 in March but then lockdown came a couple of days beforehand. To be fair, if it's the football you are interested in, most of the games will be free to watch, a few even on BBC.0

As far as the OP goes, I wouldn't describe £120 for 6 months as "giving away" the Sports package anyway.

Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0 -
