    @Mystymay   You will find it better not to tag onto another's post - that way you will get responses specific to you.

    The fundamental question to you is - are you reading you meters every month  - otherwise SP will be guessing and providing Estimated bills and changing the DD's

    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    @Mystymay Welcome to the forum.
    Unfortunately your post contains virtually no facts: you haven't stated whether your bills have been estimated (e.g. because you haven't been providing monthly meter readings), what your rates are (pence per kWh, daily standing charge), what your annual usage is, not even when you have gas.
    Without knowing the relevant information, no-one can help you.
    I suspect you are all-electric and have probably been using daytime electricity for heating and hot water. If so, that's the most expensive form of heating you can have.
    If it's an expensive tariff and a there's been a 'catch up' bill following the first meter reading for a while, that will have made things even worse.
    Worst of all, if you switch to another provider without establishing and understanding the basic facts then it may be a case of 'out of the frying pan into the fire'.
    If you provide full info then we can help.

    I have been having an absolute nightmare with this company.. They recently took nearly £700 out if my bank and when I queried on the day..  could only get hold of them by online chat... they told my I had given them a "downpayment".Which I  didn't.. I eventually spoke to someone 2 days later after confirming with my bank that they had definitely taken a direct debit payment. I eventually got a cheque for £598.. they can't explain really why the difference  was given a sketchy explanation that I had entered a change of sort code and account which triggered the payment request. This has gone on since 1st Feb, so many calls..emails so stressful..  I have now taken information to Ombudsman and hope to god they help sort it. Interestingly .. my son's mother in law has had £500  out of her account and they are only giving her £350 back.. This company is appalling so many complaints how are they allowed to get away it. Has anyone else experienced problems 😕
