Slightly baffled here; I can't work out how to change the colour of the text in my posts. Colours are still showing up in my signature, but I haven't been able to find out how to post my new target in red! I'll have a mosey round other parts of the forum & see if I can work it out. In the meantime, £10 spent on bread at the bakery - not very frugal, but there's plenty in the freezer now should anything untoward happen to She Who Bakes Bread round here - i.e. me!
Hmm - that's not right then... or is it?Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8 -

I spent £18.59 in Aldi today, bought an extra box of cat food to start a little stock pile just in case! That's £38.95 spent, £51.05 left for the month. I have 10 meals in the freezer that I'm going to work through over the next couple of weeks so I anticipate spending a similar amount next week.

Morning Peeps,
a lovely sunny morning here in Lancashire. Does anyone else sort of play this challenge of ensuring your amount of items and the bill averages out at £1 per item or less. Sometimes helps for an easy add up when whizzing through the store. When getting more proficient at it see how low you can get it to! Am off to a flying start this month.
My month runs from pay day the 27th Feb to the 26th March. I didn't actually withdraw my £200 till 2nd MarchDid the first shop at Ald! 28 items and spent 18.81 avg .67p per item. Well impressed with myself. Did a nip in shop at Sp@r 4 items and spent 5.39 avg 1.34 not so impressed lol. Really am emptying the fridge. I do frequently eat products that are out of date though. I have been known to eat a OOD yoghurt 6 months later.

I may have blown it, had a wee panic after having to reply to lots of contingency emails at work and ended up going to Morrie's to get an extra pack of dog and cat food, passatta, pulses etc. Everything I got will be used eventually and I tried not to go mad but spent £65.78 😯Tight, Scottish Vegan

Spent £1.65 today in Sainsburys for the guacamole that had been eluding me in Aldi...so that's £40.60 spent, so £49.40 left!

Today I've spent a total of £2.46 - got things to make kidney bean burgers and some sauce to go with it so that'll keep me going for a few days at least. I also managed to slice my finger open making them today so ideally that wouldn't be something I repeat...
