Can you get refunds on Turkish visa paid for to use after the visa requirement was lifted from March

I could maybe understand if you had a criminal record etc, but this is Turkey, not the USA. Visa is issued straight after you apply. I've applied a day before travel many times.shaun_from_Africa said:Many websites and forums recommend that you get any visas, visa waivers etc sorted out before booking any flights or accommodation just in case there is a problem either with the application being denied or delayed.powerful_Rogue said:More to the point, why did you by your visa so early?

You've done it before so know how the system operates and how long it takes for the visa to be issued but someone who may be travelling to Turkey for the first time and who may be extra cautious about making sure that they have everything in place could well be inclined to make sure that they get their visa sorted in advance of booking anything else that may be non refundable.powerful_Rogue said:Visa is issued straight after you apply. Yes, that's the general consensus of the replies.born_again said:

A couple of people who have paid by c/c asking about chargeback.
But still posters are giving it a go with their c/c company.0 -

There is a not a chargeback right that would cover this. We have questioned this, to see if we could use misrepresentation (long shot and play on the regulations). But have been advised is not applicable in this case.Life in the slow lane0 -

I'm not the one saying chargeback is an option.
I've simply said that other people are giving it a go.
I've not said they'll succeed.
I've not said they have succeeded.0 -
It's there in the FAQ. A download link will be available to get your visa once the application is complete.shaun_from_Africa said:

The link to download your e-Visa is given on the final step where you will be informed that your application has been completed successfully. In addition, the same link to download your e-Visa will be emailed to you.
All it states is that you will be advised if your application was completed successfully once you have finalised the application process so you have to go through the full application for confirmation that you have a visa.
I stick to my opinion that many people will apply for a visa before splashing out on travel or accommodation bookings simply because for the small amount of money involved in getting a visa, it makes sense to ensure that you get this before splashing out far larger sums for accommodation and travel.0
