  • Well given we dont know what complaint you sent, no idea
"Appeal - when was the Notice to Keeper issued? More than 14 days after I presume? If so, do they claim the right to claim from the keeper? if they do then BPA complaint. "
    What was your complaint?

Have you considered a complaint to your local Trading Standards Department.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I guess you're on top of the landowner complaint / MP Complaint / appeal to PPC / POPLA stuff(?)  But from what you say I'm unsure whether you're focused primarily on fighting this PCN or on contacting & working with other victims of the (non)system UKPC have installed at the venue.

If you're doing both, document the steps involved in fighting the PCN every step of the way to be able to demonstrate how much work and knowledge is required, should you win.  And we could do with a bit more detail if you need a hand with this.

But I'm interested in the collective side of this.  Have you managed to contact others?  You would certainly generate more publicity as a group.

Have you not complained to your MP?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Yes I complained to my local MP and he has already written to UKPC's head office on my behalf! thank you

Hello, yes im in the stages of appealing the ticket but haven't heard back from UKPC so havent began POPLA yet, MP has written on my behalf to UKPC head office, I have complained to BPA about the fine but actually someone just made a good point. My complaint was about registering and still getting a ticket but I parked on 31/12 and their invoice is from 27/1 so I will go back to BPA and complain about that aspect of it and it being past the 14 day deadline.
I contacted my local paper and they have ran the story as front page news and on their social media and it has attracted so so many people who have been caught out on the same car park so now im wondering whether to individually contact them all or maybe create a petition for Superbowl to throw off UKPC??

  • Do UKPC claim they can hold the keeper liable? If so, and they know they cant - as it is too late - then this  is a complaint to the BPA AND to the DVLA.
