Hi all
Its been a very long time since I've been on here but I need some advice from you Wonderfull knowledgeable people. I'm sorry in advance for the way i've wrote this but its the only way i know i can do it.
I had a dispute with TALKTALK which i took to CISAS who awarded me compensation and a written apology from them. While that was going on i kept getting letters from LOWELL saying i owed them the £155. I ignored them as i was dealing with it all through CISAS. It had took a long time and patience to get this resolved with TALKTALK. The decision was done on the 29th aug 2019 (well over a year and half to get it sorted). The cheque arrived but the written apology was missing, after sorting it all out with CISAS (it was hidden in the email on the case notes, not sent in the post with the cheque as i was expecting) I owe TALKTALK £29.75 (last bill which i admitted i owe) and £88.05 (disconnection charge which got lowered as TALKTALK incorrectly charged me higher) i've had nothing in a letter to say where i can pay it as my account is closed plus i don't have a cheque book. I want a record that i have paid it. I'm still waiting on any correspondence from them to be able to pay it. From past experience with TALKTALK they take for ever and a day to get back to me. Since the beginning of this year i am trying to get a mortgage and checked my credit file where i found on Equifax: TALKTALK customer account update: debt assigned. explanation: the account has been transferred to another company. status: settled, default date 21/11/2017. date updated 16/10/17. date satisfied: 16/10/17. payment history: jan-dec 2018:left blank, then i found LOWELL saying status:Defaulted, current balance:£25, start date:12/10/2011, Default date:3/12/2018, date updated: 23/10/2019, payment history: jan-dec 2018: only a red D in December. That's all, that's on Equifax. On Experian only LOWELL. started:12/10/11, default:3/12/18, account updated:27/10/19, account status 1-12months, current balance £25, default balance:£155, account status code:

im so confused with it all and i hope ive not confused anyone with how ive wrote this.
I've wrote a letter to both TALKTALK and LOWELL and awaiting their response. I've sent them recorded to sign and upon checking if they been delivered it says that LOWELL is to be returned to me as they are not known at that address which is what's on the letter (LOWELL FINANCIAL LTD, PO BOX 172, LEEDS, LS119WS) and credit report address info for all parties on my file. I've raised disputes on all credit files and today i got a letter from TALKTALK (now they haven't received my letter yet as its on the way to them and not signed yet so its come from one of the raised queries on the credit file companies) they say: Thanks for contacting us about your credit file. Please accept our apologies for what must have been a frustrating experience. Please be advised that as i am unable to make changes to the account, i will have to log a non-customer complaint for you. In order for me to be able to open up a non-customer complaint for you, i will need you to provide us with the following information: telephone, email. Once we receive all this information we will gladly assist you further. If you have any questions about anything else, feel free to get back to us. Now i sent this to the address that was on the CISAS case as i was dealing with the CEO of the company who had left a voicemail message on my home phone while i was going through the CISAS case. I feel that i'm being fobbed of again by TALKTALK. Who do i Pay??? I'm trying my hardest to get my credit files in order so i can get this mortgage. I would Appreciate any advice form anyone and i'm sorry again for the long winded letter. I thank you in advance for any assistants given.

What was your TalkTalk complaint about?
How much compensation did you get?
How can you owe TalkTalk £29.75 (final bill) and termination charge @ £55? That is a total of £84.75. Where does the £155 come from?
Edit: Sorry to moan but your post is too long, confusing and does not really make much sense. Could you try again to explain the problem.

You owe Talktalk the disconnection fee and your reluctance to pay them because you won't be able to "prove" you paid them is nonsense, any method other than cash would create a record.
You've scored an own goal here, best to correct it pronto.0 -

firstly i apologise for the long winded post and as i was writing it i thought it would be ok and that it made sense. i blame the time i wrote it and i should of done it when not tired. sorry for that.

what happened was TalkTalk broadband was having connection problems and was distressing my autistic son who kept getting kicked of his game and causing his anger to flare up. and when ever i went on my computer it slowed things down so i complained to them about this. They arranged for an engineer to attend 3-6pm and it was all booked. i received a call the day before he was due but it was saying he will be there at 12-3. i even told them that i had an appointment at 1 and 12-3 was no good for me hence 3-6 was booked. they kept saying so you want to change your slot. no one was listening to me and i was passed from pillar to post. they said that its booked and they couldn't change it. they said i would get charged for the engineer if its missed. the next day whilst i was on way to an appointment i had a call from the engineer saying he was outside my house at 12:15pm. i explained to him that he should be there 3-6. he just said that he is a contractor and can't help me. i had called TALKTALK to complain and re arrange but once again but i was passed from pillar to post with trying to get them to listen, that i never said the 12-3 slot as i had an appointment but 3-6 was perfect. i asked to speak to a manager but kept getting put on hold. by this time my sons dinner time routine had gone and he was getting annoyed that it wasn't ready, i explained to the guy i have to go as my son was getting distressed. he kept saying please leave your phone on next to you while you cook it and then put me on hold again for about the 6th time. after i got to speak to him i said when a manager is free please call me ive got to go. he still kept telling me to leave it next to me and put me on hold again. i hung up and cooked dinner. in the meantime my house phone was ringing then my mobile then house phone and this was multiple times that it happened. i couldn't answer them at the time and i was left messages to call them. by the time i had sorted my son out it was to late to speak with them.
i had various appointments that week to attend and didn't get back to them. when i got my monthly bill from them it showed i was charged for a missed engineers appointment. i called them once again to explain but i was getting nowhere once again. i hadn't renewed my contract with them so i decided to change provider. (i was with them since oct 2011) i was given the final bill which had contract breakage fee of £97.45 ( i was told it would be £88:05) plus the engineers £30 and £28.47 (not £29.75 my mistake) for my bill. totalled £155.92. i was disputing this as why should i pay for the engineer when they mucked it up. that's why i took them to CISAS. it took a while to get sorted and the Adjudicator awarded me £100 compensation for stress and inconvenience and £30 for adding the missed engineers visit costs. which they admitted was incorrectly booked. and a written apology. They also said that the contract breakage fee of £97.45 was incorrect and £88.05 was correct. plus my final bill of £28.47 totalling £116.52 was all i owed. so whilst this was all going on i didn't no that they had passed it to LOWELL.(only from the credit reports ive seen LOWELL put a default on my account with £155 and TALKTALKs note its past on to them) in the meantime i was awaiting the cheque and apology letter then i could pay TALKTALK the outstanding bill. i can't go online and pay it as they closed my account and they are not helping me in where i can send the payment to. LOWELL was texting me, ringing me, emailing and sending letters which so far have all stopped. i just want to pay TALKTALK what i owe them and get them to remove the default and note they have on Equifax. And LOWELL to remove the default on there which if im correct says they have deducted the £130 compensation which there records say is now £25???. and on Experian just LOWELL have balance of £25 and Transunion LOWELL have balance of £25.
that's what's confusing me. do i pay TALKTALK £116.52 or LOWELL £25/£155?? surely i don't owe them both.

boo_star im not relatant to pay talktalk at all. i needed the cheque to clear so i could pay them what i owe but as its took for ever to get to that part they shut my account down and im trying to get to the bottom of all this mess.
i have bi-polar and other mental health problems and my autistic son to look after and i find this stressful. i can only deal with things when my head is in the right place which thankfully is at the moment.

I'm trying to sort out my credit reports so that i can apply for a mortgage so me and my son are settled for good.
I did receive an apology letter from Talktalk and to say they have taken the following actions in full and final settlement of the matter, with the cheque of £130 compensation which was crossed and already sent to me.
I wrote to both Talktalk and Lowell to remove the defaults. Talktalk sent me a letter back saying they can't do any changes to the account and will have to log a non customer complaint for me. They actual have closed my account down so now i can't check anything out. They are not responding properly again to my letter either. I'm at a loss with them.
Lowell letter can back via royal mail with addressee gone away. That's the only address I got that has been on there letters to me which has all stopped arriving including the texts and calls.
what is anyones advice as I'm at a loss as what to do next to get the defaults removed.

The account(s) will be automatically removed from your three credit files, after six years from the default date has lapsed.
Or are you disputing the actual default itself?

I've only sent one letter to Lowell 7/2/20 which i had retuned via post office 11/2/20 so i know I've had no other contact with them at all.

Why exactly do you feel the default is incorrect? Has this all come about from what TalkTalk say is a missed engineers appointment?

I will complain to them again via post but Lowell are not even accepting my letter at their given address. I'll get the credit files to help on that one.
It started with them mucking me about and trying to get me to pay for there mistakes. and while it was in dispute they kindly defaulted me which i believe they shouldn't have done as we was in the process of getting it all dealt with. It just took so long for them to write back to me which is why its all messed up. I don't agree one bit that i should have any defaults from either of them. Hence I'm determined to get it all corrected. i want a clean file so i can get that mortgage for me and my son to feel secure and not rent privately anymore.0 -
