I was reading something the other day about larger passengers having to buy 2 seats, how does that work compared to the OP's situation?0

additional seating for size / musical instruments are generally booked by phone and both seats are linked to one passenger.0

I always book well in advance at the cheapest prices but quite often my wife is unable to fly because of illness.
