Can I pay in to a help to buy isa and a lifetime isa?

I have about £8000 in a help to buy isa but I’m worried that when I come to buy a property it will be more than £250,000 and therefore I won’t be able to use the government bonus. I want to keep my help to buy isa as the interest rate is better than anything else around but I want to start paying in to a lifetime isa too, just incase I buy a property that is more than £250,000 in future. Can I do this in the same tax year? I think I’ve read that you can only pay in to one kind of isa a year so I’m hoping that a lifetime isa and a help to buy isa are two different kinds?
Many thanks in advance!

Yes, a HTB ISA is a cash ISA, a Lifetime ISA is a different type of ISA. You can pay into one ISA of each type per tax year, so you can pay into a HTB ISA and a LISA in the same tax year.
