They suggested to take the car to my nearest dealer as the car has 3 months (or 3000 miles warranty)
If so, you shouldn't even need to use your consumer rights to reject it - just use the 30-day/1k mile "no quibble" rejection.

Personally, I would give the dealer more than just a few minutes to respond and then only invoke credit card if the dealer is unhelpful.0

Drop the car back with a letter of rejection and the keys.0

So the fact it was a Ford dealer is irrelevant. It's simply a used-car sales business.jacsll55 said:

I have spent 4 full days to and fro having to take it to different locations and leave the car with them for 2 days.Mercdriver said:Personally, I would give the dealer more than just a few minutes to respond and then only invoke credit card if the dealer is unhelpful.

Have you not rejected it yet? The longer you leave it, the less chance of them accepting it back.0

Yes, I have sent them a rejection letter (emailed to dealer principal) and also via resolver. As I live 120 miles from the dealers I don't want to go there until they ask me to. Emailed them yesterday but no response or calls so far, I read on trustpilot from a reviewer that they ignore rejection and it took 4 months for this customer to have the car returned and refunded!m0bov said:Have you not rejected it yet? I will give them 2 days to respond and see how it goes.
Will keep posted.1 -
More lessons on being wary of buying cars a long way from where you live, unfortunately.2

Similar cars within 40- 50 miles from my locality is £1000's dearer.Mercdriver said:More lessons on being wary of buying cars a long way from where you live, unfortunately.0 -
Then it's a trade-off, where you have to accept whether the risk of hassle is worth the saving.jacsll55 said:
