Used car and my rights
Last Thursday I purchased used car from a national ford dealership, the car seems fine when I test drove about 1 mile. On paying a deposit and collecting the car (I paid full on a credit card) I had to drive 110 miles back home while I got to the motorway and was doing 65 - 70 miles on top gear the car started to jerk, I tried lowering the gear to 5th but the dash sign showed to move to 6th, taking foot of the gas pedal seems to make the jerking stop, it happened 6 times during the 2 hrs trip. I informed the dealer immediately when I got home. They suggested to take the car to my nearest dealer as the car has 3 months (or 3000 miles warranty) I have booked in for this Friday at one nearest to me (ie 65 miles away)
I feel that the car was not described truthfully as their initial checks should have brought this problem up. What are my rights here? Suggestions please.

Give them 1 chance to fix the fault then reject...once the fault has been diagnosed.1

I don't suppose they drove it on a motorway to encounter the problems you found. Let them fix it and see if it is truly fixed when you get it back.

Took the car to the dealership, they did diagnostic tests and no error codes have come up, so they concluded that there is no problem with the car. I drove back home and the juddering continues!0

You need someone to record on video when it happens.0

If so, you shouldn't even need to use your consumer rights to reject it - just use the 30-day/1k mile "no quibble" rejection.

The fault has been identified by a different dealership service team, it was the drive shaft, they have now replaced a new drive shaft.1

I only bought the car on 13th Feb 2020. The problem was raised with the dealership the same day.
I paid with a credit card so should I contact my card issuer?
I have written (email) to the dealership about this and waiting for a response.0
