Talk talk wants money to keep my old email account open

Talktalk wants to shut down my old tiscali email account unless i pay them £ 50 a year . Has anyone had this happen to them and how can i get around this ?

Change your email account to a non ISP dependent service e.g. gmail and never have to suffer from this again.1

It's a company policy decision, you either pay or lose that email account.

I used Resolver to make a complaint to TalkTalk about the same issue and after a few months TalkTalk credited my account for free service. It is probably priced to put people off so they don't have to support email for people who don't have TalkTalk internet access. As it is perfectly easy to use a free email service that is not tied to any ISP it doesn't really matter what they charge.redux said:It's fair enough for it to cost something, but it looks a bit steep
