Hello there forumites,

I'm writing a blog post on how to win tickets for sporting events such as football, rugby or tennis matches, darts tournaments, athletics championships etc by entering competitions, and I'm looking for success stories from MoneySavers who have won.

So if you've bagged tickets this way, please let me know what competition you entered, what you won and what it was like, and you could feature in an official MSE blog post

I won tickets to the Olympics, although it was 8 years ago, obviously! It was a text to win competition with Visa-I had to enter for quite a few days before I got the phone call, but it was an amazing experience.

Hi Kelvin, I won tickets and expenses to last years Daytona 500. I entered the competition on the Freesport TV fb site and won, that was in 2018, the prize was flights and hotel and all expenses trip for two to the 2019 Daytona 500. I had to wait nearly a year my prize, but it was well worth the wait. We got tickets for the Truck racing on the Friday before, the Daytona 300, on the Saturday, and of course the big event on the Sunday, all tickets where supplied by NASCAR.

I won tickets to see England play South Africa at Twickenham a few years back, plus a chauffeur driven Range Rover to take us there and back (that was actually the best bit of the prize, so much easier than trekking there by public transport !)

I won two tickets to the Red Bull X-Fighters at the Olympic Stadium in Munich, including flights and 2 nights accommodation in Munich.  They were amazing.  I think it was through one of the Monster competitions and was a luck of the draw entry form.  Also my  husband won a VIP trip to the Golf Open at St Andrews, with train travel, hotel accommodation on the course for 2 nights, free food and drinks in the VIP enclosure, a bottle of very expensive whiskey and a golf umbrella.  He and his friend had such a great time.  This was won through one of the Mastercard comps, again just luck of the draw via entry form online.

I won several pairs of London Olympic tickets via different competitions. I won hospitality tickets for the rugby at Twickenham and hospitality tickets to Silverstone. I’ve also won quite a few premier league tickets, often through Cadbury, Coca Cola competitions. Also a few pairs of Eastbourne and Queens tennis tickets through Highland Spring. Love sport though, so make a beeline for these comps!
