That's strictly not true. Where somebody purchases something doesn't stop them from being a consumer in fact, and therefore law. Also, as @bris mentioned, they allow anyone to purchase from them - "Who Do We Sell To?Fosterdog said:MDP Supplies appears to be a wholesale only company so you wouldn't have consumer rights on a B2B purchase.
We predominantly sell to sign makers and garment printers but anyone can buy from us, whether as an individual or as a business.", so your comment is moot.0 -
Maybe because it was for a specific, specialist printer not available from normal high street retail outlets.Aylesbury_Duck said:
This is a valid point. No harm in asking, but as Fosterdog points out, it appears they're not a retailer but are a wholesaler. That's why there's a re-stocking fee.KatrinaWaves said:Why havent you asked them to exchange for the right printer? They can still refuse this, but theyre more likely to agree than to lose a sale entirely by refunding you.
As for it being a shame they're allowed to do this, why did you choose to buy from a wholesaler rather than the many, many retail outlets from which you can buy a printer?0
