Pressing the back button and the page refreshes twice

This should go on the feedback section but thought there are some knowledgable lot in here who would help.

I press the back button and MSE page refreshes twice, how do I stop it it's doing my swede in ?  Running Safari on a MAC , it doesn't happen anywhere else just MSE forum

  • I’ve noticed it too – first you backspace then the page refreshes to show that there are no new comments because you’ve read them.

    it is very jumpy!

    Glad it isn't me , it's highly annoying . 

    I thought there  maybe a box I could tick to stop it happening

    Hi just been searching the thread for this very problem, again using Safari on a Mac, anyone got to the bottom of it as it is becoming very annoying.

    Where are you navigating to and from?

    At the moment, I can't see anything similar on W10/Chrome.

    god it's doing my swede in..so bad that when I go on another web site I wait for the refresh again...every time it does it from a Mac

    I use Edge and maybe it is happening but I don't know it as all I get is a blank white screen for about 5 seconds then the page loads

    I get the same problem with Safari on an iPad. No such trouble on a PC running chrome or on an android phone.
