  • Thanks KeithP, appreciate your help
This seems like it requires time (which i don't have in this moment of my life). I will try to go down the appeal route, however in the case that this is not possible due to my current personal circumstance, If i pay the £100 fine via the website will this mean that i have settled the fine and therefore no further proceedings will be issued or will it only be settled if i pay via QDR/Claim form for the full amount of £235?

I think you'll find that you will be unable to pay £100 via their website. Even if you were to send a cheque it would probably be returned.
At this stage they will only accept that amount on the Claim Form.

I suspect that if you were to offer anything they would see you as an 'easy target' and push for as much as they can get.

These are downright greedy people - no getting away from that.

That so called "admin fee" is unlawful, report QDR here for abuse of process

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
