So he rings back 2 hours later and says he's had another glance over the claim and has decided to award her standard care and standard mobility and will be backdated to sept 2018 and there was no need to attend court tomorrow if you agree with it.
    We said yes please lol.
He said he will organise all the paper and get it sent out this week.
Once again thanks a lot for all your help guys.

Is this the award you were going to Tribunal for? Are there any other activities that she could score points in? What points were awarded and for what?

    Well done.
That's good news - the backdate will be approaching £6k !
I'd be inclined to give the tribunal service a ring first thing tomorrow to update them - in case the DWP don't.

We was hoping for standard for both at the tribunal to be honest.
I ain't got a clue what categories he has awarded the extra points in as he didn't tell us.

Can carers allowance be claimed for someone getting standard rate and can this be backdated to sept 2018?

We also currently get child tax credits only, will this be affected in anyway?

Then that's great news, as you're happy with that.
Yes, carers allowance can be claimed on standard rate once the award is put into payment, providing you don't work and earn more than £123 per week after deductions.
Child tax credits will not be affected.

YES. But contact CA as soon as you get the revised decision, as time limits apply for notification.

         NO

The backpay sum is disregarded for 52 weeks - so shouldn't affect CTr if you are receiving that (or other means-tested benefits).

Sorry Alice still a bit confused did you mean carers allowance can be backdated  or cant be backdated?
    What are the time limits?

Yes, it can be backdated providing you didn't earn more than the maximum amount each week. Whether you'll receive the full amount backdated will depend what other benefits, if any you maybe claiming.

When you claim Carers Allowance you must tell HMRC Tax Credits as it counts as income.

Agree with this advice. Not ideal that OP is reliant on something said and not yet confirmed in writing.
