So I have provisional license insurance on my mums car, I’ve just passed my test and was wondering can I keep the provisional insurance? My mum will be with me while driving. It would be for a few months until I get my own car. Or would this be illegal

No, you need insurance that reflects the fact you have passed your test.
If you fail to upgrade your/your mom's insurance and have an accident, or your mom does, the insurance company could ask to see both of your licences.
Upon seeing you have a full licence would be perfectly entitled to cancel your mom's policy, leaving her at risk of the insurance company paying the third party's claim and then pursuing your mom / you for the money.
Your mom would also need to declare she has has had an insurance policy cancelled and her premiums will rocket as there's only a small amount of insurers who do offer policies to those who have had it cancelled.
(My brother had to find over £5k for the first policy, over £4k for the next couple of years and several years later it now resembles normal prices).
Your / your mom's insurance will increase due to you being a higher risk of having an accident, due to just passing your test. As a learner, you are a lower risk due to having a qualified driver with you.
No, it won't make a difference having your mom in the passenger seat, you are now a driver who recently passed your test.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
