ISA from overseas

Hi. British born live in Australia. Been here 10 years. Still a British citizen. No such thing as an ISA in Australia. Would I still be eligible for one in the UK even if I don’t reside there anymore?

I believe you need to be UK resident to contribute to an ISA. Have a look on the Gov.UK site - the rules and regs should be there.

What would be the point of having an account that shelters you from UK taxation when you wouldn't be liable to UK tax?

Australia does not recognise ISAs as being tax free.
