Car hire 3rd party cover

Hi,
I am hiring a car for 5 days in portugal next week. I have bought excess insurance cover from another company rather than pay the £150 charged by alamo, but I can't figure out what happens to 3rd party if I was to crash into someone else? The excess insurance says it covers the excess which would be taken in the event of an accident £1900 but on the Alamo website this says it is for any damage to the hire car. Nothing seems to mentions cover for 3rd party cars?
Can anyone advise if the Alamo insurance would cover this? I can't imagine why it wouldn't but it does not specifically mention this so I want to make sure I have everything covered.
Thanks

It will have third party cover included as standard by law. I guess there is no excess on the third party element which is why it's not mentioned, but you have excess cover anyway so I wouldn't worry.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning1
