Mcdonald's Voucher not honoured

kinda, he had used a stamp to fill the card. Big life lesson learned for him that day.Kingsd316 said:baza52 said:My son was arrested and charged a few years ago for using a voucher in nando's to get a free meal.
He lost his job at the bank he worked at and ended up with a fraud conviction, a fine and community service for it.
Did he buy a stamper online and self stamp loyalty cards? If so i think that is a little different0 -
DoaM saiPerhaps the OP tried to take advantage, but the fault lies with McDs ... if they didn't want people taking advantage then they should ensure that their ordering system is suitably robust to prevent this.
That sounds like bit of a slippery slope when you start blaming the victims rather than the perpetrators.
It sound's like your saying it's OK to be dishonest, if your target hasn't taken robust enough measures to stop you being dishonest.
Does that apply to shop-lifting, pick-pocketing, phone snatching etc as well? Is it OK to do those things to businesses and people who aren't careful enough?5 -
I think some of the vouchers can only be used once or not in restuarants wth drive through. Not worth getting upset or going to trading standards even though it annoying you out of pocket.0

Many have small print along those lines, some say one per customer or transaction. My MIL used to give us bus tickets with vouchers on the back for £1.99 burger and fries etc and they often said 'one pre customer'.Tooskint said:I think some of the vouchers can only be used once or not in restuarants wth drive through. That's not what I meant at all ... I was speaking specifically in the context of this thread. If McDs (who aren't exactly a corner shop, are they?) can't (or won't) coordinate their voucher codes with their own ordering terminals to prevent abuse then they shouldn't cry if someone finds a loophole - they should just fix it.eddddy said:DoaM saiPerhaps the OP tried to take advantage, but the fault lies with McDs ... if they didn't want people taking advantage then they should ensure that their ordering system is suitably robust to prevent this.

Nice try though.

Not sure it's much of a loophole if it triggered intervention by a human.DoaM said:
