I'm 50/50 night/day split. Are those figures I #3 ("it says accepted so I assume householder readings) actually read and submitted by the householder or estimates.by the supplier accounting bot ?
Hygiene like heat is essential to well being, I put in a belling ceiling fan heater specked for bathrooms but never needed it. It can overpower the cyclone extractor in the bathroom. I'm electric shower only. Electric blanket person. No heat needed in the bathroom, or bedroom. Kitchen prolly needs no heat. Perhaps these days of escalation in energy costs means 'central heating' is unaffordable for the O/P. Heat only the living area to comfort level. Switch the water controller [night rate 3kw element lower heater & thermostat] off - and only only twice a week. You'll still have sufficient hot water for washing up etc. Best of luck.

asmalec said: We use the kettle once to fill the washing up bowl but that's all.Not a good idea, it'll be nearly twice the cost of using the immersion heater because it's peak rate.Presumably you have an instantaneous electric shower? Even worse, for the same reasons. Are all those readings ones you have submitted? What are your pence per kWh day and night rates? What is the daily standing charge?

As an example of total use I'm 8527kWhpa December 19-20. Looking at the O/P's figures. 24744+50600=73355. That's a whole extra zero more than mine. Very long periods before readings/input, and frighteningly.reversed preferred % spit between cheap night and expensive day.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. The meter readings are all over the place. Are some of them estimates?
I find it useful to work out average daily use. Tapping the figures given in to a spreadsheet I get the following:
I guess meter 1 (M1) is peak and meter 2 (M2) is off-peak use.
Taking the usage between 28th July 2019 and 22 October 2019 as an example, it seems crazy an average household would use (on average) 33kWh during peak period and 20kWh during the off-peak period a day during the summer and autumn.
Latest figures tagged on to the bottom of OPs post paints a pretty gloomy picture.
During the 17 day period they used 171kWh during peak time and 1,375kWh during off-peak.
That's an average peak time daily use of 10kWh. Perhaps a little high, but not unreasonable for an electricity only household. However, their off-peak use averages 81kWh a day. That seems high.1 -
Snow Tiger's breakdown does show the benefit of keeping your own records. OP - what was going on last summer ?
OP - could you add to it the bottom line of your bill - the debit / credit balance
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
asmalec said:Hi, I live in a rented property in a contract that started in 1983. My husband put in storage heaters about 20 years but I am aware that they are incredible inefficient. I have been trying to get the cheapest electricity deal. In 2018 I moved to Ebico on the Night Owl tariff, but in October they changed the monthly payments from £200 to £288 and switched to a different tariff without letting me know ( I had been with them a year) . I moved to the E7 fixed tariff in January after being quoted monthly payments of £180 ish. I have just recieved notification that they want to increase my monthy direct debit to £366. I am at a loss of what to do!! Changing suppliers does not seem to make it cheaper. I don't feel that we use such a lot of electricity. HELP!!!! This is putting us in fuel poverty and we cannot afford these payments

If you are on the best tariff for you, do you agree with the monthly amounts being requested? If not, or you are unsure, the MSE article explains what to do:
