New bedroom laminate flooring - Help please

Hi all,
I am hoping for some help with regards to laminate flooring & costs for our bedrooms.
Bedrooms in our house have all got carpets and we are planning to replace them with laminates.
We have looked at Quickstep but they are slightly out of our budget. The quotes for taking the carpets out and fitting new laminates (without the laminates & underlay) have varied wildly with one quote around £800 and the other around £400. The total area is roughly 31m^2. For a third quote that includes laminates (brand Estilo -10mm) and scotias, the estimate is around £1450 mark. Please would you suggest on these quotes (reasonable or slightly over?). Also any feedback on Estilo brand laminates? There are a few from costco which look interesting with underlay attached. Not sure what the general feeling is around them?
We are in Greater London area (south-east).
Thank you

I wouldnt recommend laminate in bedrooms at all unless you can fit brakes to the castors.
The least little touch makes them roll.
I fell when mine did unrxpectedley as i was getting into bed, i fell against some drawers and i broke a rib.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

We plan to use rugs as required - also we do not have any furniture with casters or gliders as of now.0 -
I'm sure next door will love you, And if you live in a flat you may end up dead.To do it correctly you need to rip the floor up and sound proof the floors.

Have you considered a really good wood effect vinyl? Having lived with laminate in a rented flat, I could not wait to be rid of it - it's so hard on your feet and cold. We now have felt backed wood effect vinyl, and it's so much nicer - soft and warm underfoot and not noisy!

My husband laid laminate in the bedrooms of our daughter's house, she chose a laminate that was priced around £12 per sq m as it was on special offer. It looks really good. There are lots of specialist carpet/laminate/wood flooring outlets, you should visit a few to get an idea of prices before choosing. The underlay he used was this one....
https://www.screwfix.com/p/vitrex-premier-wood-laminate-underlay-boards-5mm-9-76m/68038It was very easy to use.
She did not need any Scotia as she was having new skirtings, but at her previous house he undercut the door frames and used scotia to match the white skirting, she purchased it on line I think. He also used cork expansion strips all round, again from Screwfix.
If you have any DIY skills, you will find laminate easy to lay, otherwise I think you will find the fitting cost is more than the materials cost.
This place ...... https://www.factory-direct-flooring.co.uk/
has a good selection of all types of flooring and will send out samples. We have used them a few times and the service is very good.0 -
If you want something really hard wearing, consider click LVT

But do not use a thick underlay, you need one suitable for LVT0 -
You could remove the carpets yourselves, that would save a bit0
