Switching provider notice period

Hi, Just wondering when using the gainer led switching process how it works in terms of giving notice to the old provider? According to my contract I need to give 14 days notice to switch (I'm out of the fixed term). Do I need to ring my current provider to give notice? Or will the switching process take care of giving my current provider the required notice?

Pick a new provider and sign up with them. You don't speak to your existing supplier at all. You may want to though to see if they can give you a better deal than the one you've found, but beyond that...1

Thanks. So do I just ensure if I get the choice of a start date I choose one at least 14 days in the future and the new provider will give notice to my current provider?Neil_Jones said:Pick a new provider and sign up with them. You don't speak to your existing supplier at all.
