We use one of these to hang our wreath on the front door. Can recommend it for staying put.

  • I too have this problem, what I do it get the wreath hung on a red floristry ribbon so that I can use a suction hook on the inside of the door the ribbon goes over the top of door and then I use loads of small suction hooks to secure the wreath hidden underneath the wreath onto the door. Hope this make sense, its hard to describe.

  • You could also use an over the door hook, similar to this one http://www.xmasdirect.co.uk/products/decorationsaccessories/ornament_hangers/wreath_hangers

If you wired the wreath to the hook it wouldn't be that easy to remove. I have one but mine is more decorative, with a Santa on it. I can't remember where I got it from though, probably the local market.
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.
  • We have one of those over-door hangers too - although ours is made of metal not plastic and luckily the colour matches the door handle so it looks nice even though you can see it! Its like this one here: http://www.christmasexpressonline.co.uk/christmaswreathdoorhanger-p-14488.htm
We have a wooden front door which is flat at the top so this works perfectly, my parents in law's PVC door though is shaped at the top so they can't use one (tho as the metal is really thin, I suppose you could bend it to fit if you're clever enough!) so it probably depends on what type of door you have as to what would be the most suitable.
  • I noticed instore in Tesco last night that they had a metal over the door hanger, can't remember the cost though.
  • Poundland has xmas metal over the door hangers as well.
  • I didn't thin you could use them with the newer style UPVC doors. Please tell me if wrong....... I would love to use one.
