I recently bought a new LG 4k smart TV (model 43uk6300plb). I am generally happy with it apart from the sound, when I watch TV or films I find I struggle to hear the characters voices. If I watch an action film the explosions are very loud but at the same volume I struggle to hear the actors voices in other scenes. Is…

I dont have a stereo and dont want a soundbar if I can avoid it.
I had a play last night, it was previously set on the 'Standard' sound mode but there is a 'Clear Voice III' sound mode that supposedly 'Boosts voice clarity' so I have turned that on and will see how it goes. Failing that there is a manual Equalizer where I can set it up manually as per the suggestions from Heedtheadvice, failing that I will buy a sound bar.
