How do I delete private messages?

As per the title. I can't work it out..

Go to your inbox, click on the message and leave conversation, in view of Owain's post below changed 'deletes' to 'the message vanishes but possibly only temporally '

does it delete it though? Or does it just hide it and MSE will bring it back to haunt you ten years later?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.3
