What would you say I could do if I am half way through my treatment? I also took out finance but by Chrysalis finance at the Birmingham Branch. I am half way through my treatment and have  no idea where to go from here.
Speak to the finance company.  They are probably already aware of issues at the dental practice.

With this this type of finance the lender has the same obligations to you as the dental practice.

Presumably the finance company offers funding packages through several dental practices.  They may arrange for you to have your dental work completed at another practice.
  • It is very unusual for a dental company to go into liquidation.  The holding company, B & A Group is in liquidation but the 9 individual practices are still trading.  Technically, were it not for Covid-19 and the fact that all dentistry ceased on 25th March 2020 and is only now re-opening, treatments could have continued.  However, due to the doors closing on all of the practices in December 2019, the lack of available treatment is due to the financial state of the business,  Claims for reimbursment of dental fees whether paid by debit card, credit card or on finance are being investigated and we have had a number of approaches from downhearted and disgruntled patients of Finest Dental not knowing whether or if they will have their treatment completed or if they have a right of legal recourse.  Sometimes a listening ear rather than formal advice is appreciated.  We suggest that you speak to a lawyer if you are unable to deal with the situation yourself, which can be quite emotional.  We may be able to help.

  • Hitachi have been quite good about this. They have froze any future payments for two months till they can ascertain that Finest Dental have gone into administration & will then refund all payments so far made.

It appears there are quite a few more who are embroiled in this & hopefully they get the same outcome.
If Dr Sati Simon Riahi & Mr Stephen Anthony Banks are allowed by the GDC to carry on practising then they should hang there heads in shame.
    Where heads?
  • "We are Prosperity Law, a firm of Solicitors representing former patients of Finest Dental in an attempt to recover money that they have spent in expectation of dental treatments that were not delivered as a result of the financial collapse of the group.  Bigcheese68 referred to administration.  The position is that the holding company, B & A Group, is in liquidation as of 1st April 2020.  The 9 Finest Dental practices were closed in December 2019.  This was not Covid-19 related.
The individual practices are still trading and as of June 8th may slowly start to open, although the likelihood of that is extremely slim.
An organisation called The Care Clinic Group, who are not connected in any way with Finest Dental, are attempting to take on the patients but have no intention of refunding any previous charges nor do they have practices in the right localities for a lot of the patients.  Invisalign are unable to do so either, but will offer to find an alternative practice for those patients who still require treatment.
It is believed that The Care Clinic Group are trying to persuade dentists who worked with Finest Dental to come and work for them for free in order to complete any outstanding treatments.  Again, highly unlikely to happen!

In which case maybe this applies (which you agreed to on joining) ? You don't appear to be a verified poster.
