Virgin Media Broadband Change

Hi, I am after some advice. I have been with Virgin Media for a while., I currently have a TV package, broadband and line rental with evening and weekend calls. My latest bill was for £64. I contacted them to advice that I am thinking of switching, also that I no longer needed the TV package. Informed that if I kept the broadband and line line future bills would be £53. As I have my landline with virgin is it still easy to change providers. I would like to keep my existing phone number.

Not really the way to go .

Transfer your number from VM yes .

VM use own infrastructure others use BT OpenReach infrastructure . 

Land line as you call it is just paying for the cabling that your service comes down .

Most BB deals are now bundles that include rental for this line .

Put your postcode into the BB deal check top of page and see what you get .

Are you saying that this will not be possible.

But you would be using two different infrastructures .

One the VM cable for your line rental .

Two the BT Open Reach cabling for your BB with another ISP /who would not offer a good deal without line rental .

Easier to try to move your number from VM .
