Currys PC World mistake - Where do I stand?

I've been debating getting a new laptop for a few months now to replace my older MacBook, and for a limited time only, Currys were offering 0% for 24 months on MacBooks, so last Saturday I went ahead and decided to go for it. I already had the finance plan and recently paid off my last purchase from last August.
The guy in store put my details through and then the system crashed, tried from another computer and it wouldn't let him process it saying I didn't have enough of my credit limit left. I logged on and realised that the purchase gone wrong had put a hold onto my plan, therefore wouldn't let me go ahead with the purchase. After speaking to his manager, the guy told me they needed to contact head office who weren't available until Monday, therefore I should pay the full amount on my credit card, and would put it onto my finance plan during the week, or at least pay the difference and all the same, they would add it on. I explained I wasn't sure but in the end I went ahead and paid a £400 deposit on my credit card, on the understanding they would refund this and resolve my issue during the week.
I got a phone call on Tuesday saying that it had gone onto my finance plan as it should have done, and then on Thursday I visited store to get my deposit refund. It was explained to me that they could add this £400 to my plan, but the 0% offer had expired! So therefore I'd be on a 24 month plan with interest, when signing up for a 0% one. I explained I had specifically got this plan for the 0%. Therefore the original guy who sold me this rang me on Friday, gave me head office's number to ring, who passed me onto the finance provider, Creation, who then passed me back to store, who then refused to help me.
I visited again where it was explained I could only get my £400 back if they added it to my plan, which would then charge interest. I argued this that I signed up for a 0% plan!
I paid purposely on my credit card for the extra cover, contacted them who have agreed to issue a chargeback to Currys over the purchase. But there is the possibility they will contest the chargeback.
I'm wondering what my rights are here. I feel like I have been mis-sold this finance agreement due to an error on their system. Am I within my rights to fight this?

Messy, but I think you are in charge here. You have the threat of simply cancelling the whole agreement, don't you? If they won't honour the 0% deal and refund your card, tell them you're cancelling the whole deal and return the MacBook.
Edited to add: That's assuming you haven't set it up, installed updates, software, etc.1 -

In which case, just return it for a full refund. I wouldn't trust them to sort out the finance mess they shouldn't have created in the first place. The longer you wait for them to try and sort it out, the less likely they'll accept the laptop back. Another deal will be along at some point, preferably with a better retailer.0

I agree with the above, return it ASAP for a full refund before it's too late. Then just buy another one when you can get the deal you want, you still have your older one to use in the meantime.0
