Thanks for looking! Location is the issue with most of those. We have to be walking distance to the city and to work, I realise I haven't shared that specific location but we're essentially limited to the areas of Heworth and Fulford. I think we will view the Fulford cottage, the garden looks small but it might feel right in other ways.

Because they don't share many walls for sleeping or living space. I don't tend to hang out in my hallway so I don't care if I can hear our neighbours in their hallway.

I wouldn't have thought the one off Broadway would be any noisier than the one on Stockton Lane.  It gets busy at commuting times, but will be much quieter outside of those times.

We've viewed both and the difference in noise levels was surprising. The Broadway house also has far too small a garden. Hull Road is crawling with students so that's a no go...

Hence "apparently"... The one thing we can never get from RM links is the subtleties of location.

Of course, and if we weren't so constrained they *would* be better options so you have a point. I'm glad you posted the Fulford one though, I'm not sure why I originally dismissed that one.
