Carers allowance, is some money taken from the person being cared for?

If they live alone and get AA then some means tested benefits they claim, such as CTR, can include an extra allowance called a Severely Disability Premium but they cannot have this included if somebody claims Carer’s Allowance for looking after them.
Other benefits that would be affected are income based ESA, Income Support, Housing Benefit and Pension Credit.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
