GHolmesAdmin said:I find the only way forward right now is to use the bookmark to mark comps you have done or don't want to do, this saves the time it otherwise takes to open up every post, but then you need to change your email on here to one you never look at so as to save yourself all the resulting messages and if anyone has a better idea I'd be grateful to hear it.Yes that's what I have been doingBTW You can turn off notifications from bookmarked links . you need to click edit profile then Notification Preferences and then look down the list for "Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions" and uncheck under email

Where has this word moany come from all of a sudden? Surely there is a fine line between moaning and feedback? I guess it’s a matter of perception. I only see the majority of posts as feedback. The moany ones have been responses to being told not to moan. A Negative term gains a negative response.
I am a widow, I work long hours, I suffer anxiety I come here to be distracted and live in hope. This is meant to be a community and it has helped me stay sane more than once .I have dyslexia and dyspraxia so yes familiarity is important to me. You can label that as being a creature of habit should you want to but again just a matter of perception.
The last few days have been anything but a safe distraction . I wont even mention the amount of spam I have received despite editing the notifications, as that may be perceived as a moan.
Oh and just in case you are un aware of the difference that was feedback not a moan.3 -
opps no edit button either, I mean here not her. That, too was feedback about no edit button not a moan1

I feel I could get used to it if they sort out the key areas - and there are quite a few.I can understand why people are vocal about the problems as it's not just been a matter of change but a huge step down in functionality. Comping is a big part of our lives & this is quite a big adjustment - I'd put it up there with moving house etc, it's quite stressful & it really does mean so much to some people.I think division is the last thing we need on here, it's bad enough in the real world. Just like things will be fixed in time, people will also calm down and get more used to it.I really think it's important to respect people's opinions & let them have the freedom to 'moan' or vent as they need to, and to maybe support them through the transition rather than just telling them to 'stop moaning'. It's a community & some are better equipped to change than others. On another note, I've noticed Laks hasn't been on, I'm hoping that's not permanent5

Oh and I'm 33 weeks pregnant & everything is making me cry, I cried because I couldn't get my sock on earlier - this change is catastrophic
I can understand why people may want to leave but I really believe all of us, with time & their tweaks, will have a great forum again.
Stay positive, honeys6 -

I’ve seen a lot of people saying they’ve lost the will to comp since the changes. Personally it is people’s negativity that is getting me down not the changes.
I understand we are creatures of habit and it’s frustrating getting your head around new things but the changes are designed to make things better in the long run so cut the guys at MSE some slack.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea4 -
Found a quick fix. Loaded up Loquax instead. Seems even simpler on there than the old MSE forum now. Damn shame they were incapable to keep the basic features needed on this updated layout.3
