I understand we have to get used to it and they are having technical difficulties as well as other input being given to them which gives time to fix or sort out. I'm okay with most of it, apart from the fact I can't open it in my chosen browser, I've tried clearing cache and cookies and still can't load it up in Chrome, yet others aren't having any trouble at all, so I'm at a loss.

I'm not familiar with Chrome but are you able to restart the browser with all the extensions disabled.(might be called safe mode)  it could be you might have something installed that is causing a conflict. just an idea. the only other thing I can suggest is to go onto the Chrome support forum and ask why MSE won't open for you.

Just a thought, but have you tried opening the site in an incognito window?

I also use Chrome and haven't had any issues with the forum loading.  If you try GPark's suggestion above and let us know if it works in incognito we can work out if it's maybe a browser extension conflicting with something.
To open an incognito window, click on the 3 dots in the very top right of your Chrome browser window (under the X) and select "New Incognito Window"  and try and load the site up in that new window.

Yea neither was the forum, been working on the move for some time now with feedback from testers. All those years adding them features just to lose them all overnight, great deal of planning must have gone into it all.
