How to get new forum to display in wide mode (i.e use full width of the window)

Previously I was using the 'green' site and had it in wide mode, controlled ( I think ) by a Style in Stylus like this 
#forum_container { width:100% !important; }
Thats is still active in my browser but not showing MSE site in wide 
Do we need a new style setting ?

I don't think it worked in the blue forum, just the green.  Mine was set in Firefox, still there but not working.  Even removing the sidebars with uBlock Origin doesn't work - removes the items but just leaves a blank space.

There is a fix posted by DoaM in the main snagging forum to use in uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus

Certainly seem to improve it a bit, at least it has pushed the 3 blocks of tools which were on the right hand side to the bottom of the window and main forum content has expanded into that space on the right, so its wider, not quite as wide as previous version as I recall but better

Looks fine to me. Obviously blocking the stuff you don't want is not MSE's intended way for you to use the forum as there is nothing to make them any money. But as a poster I am a content generator, and so help to make this place a useful or interesting place for people to come, which is something that ultimately can be monetised by the site owner even if I don't view ads or skimlinks or things I don't want.

The key is to use an adblock tool to remove elements you don't want (sample above) and force to use most of the screen width; and then view in portrait mode on a high resolution device. Screenshot below:
