I doubt any of the MSE have been working over the weekend as nothing has changed!  I bet they have deliberately changed the move date from Monday to Friday so they could ignore the negative comments they have expected! What a mess this turnover has been!

I'm struggling with the search if anyone can help? I  have a few comps to post but when I search for dupe spotting I'm getting no results. If I type dominos /domino's into the search then 100's of posts come up from all over the forums. When I advance search & choose Competitions Time from the category list it shows no results, no matter how I do it. However, some pop up as a drop down list after typing so I know they're are some out there.
I'd be really grateful if someone can help me work out how I can search :)
Hey @BackAgain ... I think you're doing it correctly, it's just that there are no results for the word dominos in the competition time forum.  I think the results that are showing with the autofill are actually from other forums (ie : I got hit by a Dominos driver) so because you haven't clicked search yet so the filter hasn't been assigned to only show competition time.

@sleepyjones @One-Eye about this editing the first post, does this mean I won't be able to update the daily thread first few posts that are indexed? I've updated it today and yesterday with no problems so far?
I found I could edit the first post of a thread that was carried across from the old forum (mag daily thread) so you should be ok as the one you are talking about is also brought across from the old forum.

Do you mean by thread start date like this: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/competitions-time?sort=new

I've just checked on several of mine that were brought across and couldn't get into edit the first post for any of them. Perhaps the edit is working on the Regular Comps Board but not the main Board. The only way to find out is to try it.

I've just checked again and it is no longer possible to edit it, so it must have been there on Saturday when I sorted our the mess that had been transferred across.  (There was lots of stuff that looked like formatting to me, such as [font] showing as text), but the option to edit is now gone.

The only suggestion I cam make is to therefore start a new thread and make the first post a generic introduction then the second post is the one containing everything you need to edit.  This is what I will do with the mag daily comps and click to wins should any new ones be added or any removed.

Of course this doesn't help for any normal people posting a comp who put a wrong end date in, or something.

I've just come across to mention this.  I've posted a thread in postal sub-section and found I couldn't edit the original post (can edit comment attached).  I've messaged a Board Guide (although their names are not now visible at the bottom of the page).

Also, when compiling the thread I could find the bold edit button but couldn't find where I could change font colour, anyone know where it is?

There is no coloured font facility. I gather it can be be done somehow using the the HTML toggle button </> but too technical for me.

I'm still able to edit the Daily Thread first and second posts this morning so don't know why that one is working when others aren't? I'm not complaining lol, but doesn't seem to have any logical reason for one board to be editable and others not?
