Which new mobile
I need a replacement phone (max around £150)
I have narrowed it down to either a Moto G7 or a Huawei P Smart Z 2019
both are 64GB / 4GB but which is the best phone and why ?
I have a Huawei tablet and love it - it is well put together and fast !

i have a Moto G7 Power and it's the best phone i've had, (my last one was a Samsung S7). Battery life is fantastic. i'm a heavy user and get 2 full days out of it. have seen it on offer as low as £129. i paid £179 when it launched in march 2019 and still don't regret it.0

The Moto G series doesn't include a magnetometer (compass) unless they've added it to the newer models. It probably won't matter to you, but if you have an app with AR mode, it may need the compass.

I wouldn't touch a Huawei since my work one came preloaded with malware that gave me endless pop ups and kept signing me up to Chinese games at several quid a time. Never again. The whole batch had to be scrapped. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
If you can stretch your budget to another £10, you could pick up the G7 Plus, which is slightly better camera and processor the G7.0

I always go for refurbed/used phones now as you can get high end models that are a few years old for a LOT LESS money. I've been disappointed with mid range new phones as there is always something lacking.
I am currently sporting a Samsung S8 plus which cost me £215 from CEX which comes with a 2 year warranty. This phone would have cost over £800 a few years ago. This to me seems as good as new with no visible damage and the battery seems to be good too. It was locked to my network which made it a bit cheaper than an unlocked phone.
This phone imo is a proper bargain.
Giffgaff and music magpie are also options that maybe a little cheaper still but only offer 1 year warranty.
You may get a standard non plus S8 locked to a network for just a little over your budget. Have a look at YouTube reviews on the S8 and you will see they are superb buys at this money.0 -
