danfoss thermostat

Can someone please offer some advice I have a danfoss themostat installed in a property Iv'e moved into. The heating apears to have been working for the week Iv'e been here, but it's been on for most of the day today. I initally had the thermostat set to all day mode and when I came back tonight it was off. I put the thermostat up and it clicked but nothing happened, Iv'e now put the thermostat in on mode and again turned the thermostat on the wall which clicked but again nothing's happening. When I put the thermostat down it's curruntly clciking at 15 degrees when going up and down so it seems to recgonise the tempature in the house but again the boiler isn't firing up when I go over it. Could this indicate an issue or have I got the thermostat set wrong?, I'm not used to it so not entiely sure if I'm using it correctly. Any help would be greatly appricated as I'm freezing.

A model number of the thermostat & timer/control would be useful along with a bit of info about the boiler.
At a guess, I'd say the boiler is at fault - Possibly a gas valve or sensor. In which case, you will want to call a Gas Safe registered heating engineer out to take a look.

Unless we're talking about a wireless thermostat that's lost touch with its receiver, my guess is that the problem is 99% likely to be with the boiler. The thermostat is calling for heat and the boiler isn't responding.

Check the boiler and see if it has any error codes showing. It may just need a reboot (did the gas go off for any reason?), or the system pressure could be too low (you might be able to resolve this yourself if you can find the filling loop).

As above, make & model number of boiler and any error code showing will help with a diagnosis.

Danfoss make dozens of different types of thermostat, so it would help if you told us which one you've got (model/type number). The same goes with the boiler, the number of manufactures and model types mus run into the 100's so a bit of a clue might get you a better response than random guesses
