I am currently in a contract with TalkTalk for Fibre broadband.
I am looking to get a new TV recorder to record Freeview programmes.
According to their website I can get a TalkTalk TV Plus Box for a one off charge of £50 and a monthly subscription of £11 (Price includes TalkTalk TV £4 a month + TV Select Boost £7 a month).
Can I cancel the £11 monthly subscription almost immediately and then basically own a Freeview recorder for the total cost of £61 or am I missing something?

Depends upon the TV contract T&C .Usually a min 12 months .1

Ask Talk Talk about contract length? Ask on their Community Forums where someone may know (but staff aka OCEs only do Mon-Fri office hours).1
