Next week, Martyn Day MP is leading a Parliamentary debate on consumer rights, and wants your experiences to inform it.

He wants to know:
  • What did you do when you were refused a refund?
  • Did you use an ombudsman or take legal action?
  • What support were you offered?
  • What would you do to improve consumer protection?

Martyn will press a Government minister for answers on how issues faced by consumers and retailers can be remedied appropriately, without the need for long and costly legal action.

The debate is scheduled for 11 February at 11am. Let us know about your experiences by midday on Monday 10 February for your chance to feed into it.

We will post links to watch the debate and read the transcript as soon as they are available.

    Context to the debate:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund within 30 days. However, in some instances retailers have not complied with the Act and cases have ended up in the courts.
